2015 Here We Come

2014 honestly went by so fast. A lot happened this year.  I expanded my make up collection and wrote a lot more. I also did a collab with The Glitter Paparazzi which honestly was kind of amazing.  They are some great girls with a great blog. Fashion this year wasn't something to sneeze at.  The Chanel runway has gotten more and more artistic.  Also Christian Louboutin launched his nail polish collection.  These were huge steps in the fashion industry. However along with a lot of fashion highs 2014 has also been through a lot of lows.  The death of Robin Williams, Joan Rivers, and Oscar De La Renta crushed many hearts. I think whether you are interested in fashion or not 2014 was a year that wont be forgotten,  And I am so thankful that after a year of writing people are still reading. Thank you all and have a great New Year.

Meeting New Friends

I was so lucky to meet the elephants at the National Zoo in Washington DC. They were so adorable and sweet. Unfortunately in the picture you cant see her but her name is Ambika. She is the oldest at the zoo, 66 years old. She is so calm and is honestly so cute.

1 Year!!!

A lot changes in a year.  Babies say their first few words, people graduate, and weddings start to get planned.  A whole lot of life happens in a year, This blog has been my life for a full year. That's crazy.  I don't think I will ever be able to fully wrap my head around that.  Anyways can I just say how thankful I am for a few people.  First off my family they have been incredibly supportive.  Also my sister actually pushed me to start this blog, now look at where I am.  Also I want to thank my friend Ophelia.  She helps with the Instagram and she is so chic.  I am so lucky.  She inspires me all the time and I can't wait to see her model for Chanel.  And lastly I would like to thank the lovely people who read this blog.  You people are the reason I even have motivation to write.

In spite of the one year anniversary I want you all to get to know me a little better, so here is fifteen facts about me.

1) I absolutely hate anything jelly. The wiggling grosses me out ever since I was little.

2) I live in a small town and am known as the fashionable person at my school,

3) I have been inspired by fashion ever since I was 2. I would pick out my sister and mom's clothes.

4) One of my all time favorite shows is Gossip Girl. I mainly watch it because of Chuck and Blair.

5) I have never been good at school, but ever since I was in fourth grade my teachers always said my strongest subject was writing.  Ever since I knew I wanted to be a writer.

6) I will be visiting Washington D.C and will be taking a bunch of pictures on my blog. Stay tuned ;).

7) I suffer from anxiety.  I usually get attacks when I'm in large group of people and when I am around fighting.

8) I have a twin sister and we look absolutely nothing a like.  We also don't act a like.  However no matter how much we fight I love her.  She is my best friend.

9) I am only 5 feet 2 inches and when I was younger I wanted to walk runway.  Then a few years later I realized you need to be about 5 feet 9.  This dream however will never leave my mind.

10) In the future it is my dream to write a book I have a few ideas, but I have always wanted to walk into Barns and Noble and seeing my book on the shelves.

11) My favorite designers are Chanel/ Karl Lagerfeld and Louboutin.  I love them because of there stories ( that's another blog post).

12) I wish I could play spots.  I have tried so many and my body just doesn't work.  I don't have the patients or effort.  If I could play any sport I wish I could dance.

13) I bought my first Vogue July 2013.  I remember being with my friend and we were having a sleepover.  I couldn't take my eyes off it all night.

14) I would never ever where a pair of sweat pants out in public the farthest I go is wearing leggings.  I refuse because Karl Lagerfeld once said that sweatpants were a form of laziness.  Also they make me feel naked for some reason.

15) If there is one thing I regret its not posting more often.  I get really insecure and just give up then I don't write anything for a few days.  This next year I am going to work on being more confident. Comment what you New Years resolution is please.

I love you all don't forget it. please please comment.

Being Unique

When we are young we ask the question: What if we were all the same? Usually the universal answer is because the world would be a very boring place.  No two people will ever be exactly the same.  That brought the question: what about twins? Well yes they are alike in features and family, however its the experience in their lives that separate them.  Its their stories that they tell their grandchildren when the are older that are different.  Fashion isn't the same every season.  Yes, it does have similarities throughout the years, but its the designers each individual stories that make it different.  I'm tired of the fact  people are worried if they fit in.  You don't need to fit in to be happy.  Possibly being different will add a new story to the future. Its incredible what stepping out of your comfort zone can do.  It may be a little intimidating at first but look at Chanel for instance.  She was the women who created an empire of fashion.  All she had to do was see beyond comfort and understand that women can't keep wearing corsets.  They need to free and alive.  simply by gaining confidence, knowledge, and comfort she created the little black dress.  She was so confident in this discovery that even to this day millions of women wear the little black dress.

Winter Trends

I have mentioned it many times and I will say it again, I absolutely love this season.  As the nights get longer style adds layers.  You have to be warm so might as well be warm and stylish.  Don't let the weather dull your style and personality.  Don't let anything dull your personality.  Be unique and powerful.  Let who you are today represent how you feel at that exact moment.  Anyways lets get on with some of my favorite winter trends.

Long socks that just go over the knee.  These are so great to go under a dress or a skirt. They also go up to a point on the leg where they show a little bit of thigh.  Don't worry its not that bad, if your a little insecure about your legs  its okay.  You can still pull off this style by wearing black or brown tights underneath.   To top the outfit off you can wear tall boots or combat boots to add a little sass.

Ever since I saw the new campaign for Tiffany and Co. I have been loving Tiffany blue in the winter.  For any of you that don't know what Tiffany blue is, its like a tropical/ pastel blue color.  The campaign is basically a winter wonderland surrounded in Tiffany blue.  I wore this color which was a cami top and put over it a soft Forever 21 cardigan, and to top it all off black high waisted leggings.  I got so many compliments from this outfit. Tiffany blue is one of my favorite colors and its nice to kind of break the traditional trend of dark colors and add a little tropical colors.

These are just a few of my favorite winter favorites I was going to write more but it can get quite boring.  If you want me to review different products or maybe write a part two comment below.  Please comment it would mean a lot.

Nails, the New Accessory in Fashion

In the last few years nails have began to be a form of self expression.  Whether acrylic or natural, bright or dark, nail art or plain, nails allow for one to display their personal style.  Nails are not only a way to showcase one's personal style but nails are also a accessory to an outfit.  When I get dressed I not only think about what shoes I'm going to wear, but I also think about how I'm going to do my nails.  I wear more solid patterns and dark colors for my clothes, so I make my nails bright, loud, and wear detailed nail art.  This allows me to show my creative side and dress up my outfit in a different way.

Here are 3 nail styles and I have paired with different outfits.

First look- Classy Nails.  These nails can go with formal wear, anything from wedding to prom. Psone-shoulder-prom-dresses

Second look- Fun Nails.  These nails are great paired with a party look.  Date night or a girls night look.

Third look- Everyday Nails.  These nails go great with very casual looks.  The french manicure can be paired with multiple colors. Photos found
