Chanel

Chanel has been around forever.  The extremely classy and expensive designer brand has not just created an outline for the fashion industry, but also made the modern women more confident and stylish. Nothing about a Chanel fashion show is average.  For example, the spring-summer of 2014 was crazy and also leaves you speechless.  From the upbeat music to the elegant and also creative outfits.  As I looked at the pages of my Vogue Magazine I came across a Chanel spread.  The thing I loved was the layering of the purses. And the idea that "yes everything will change, but why not have fun during this process."  A Chanel fashion show is defiantly not ordinary, and that's what is extraordinary.

How About a Little Bit of Denim?

Trends change and attitudes change as well.  I'm not the same girl I was a year ago.  And I know I'm not the only one in the world who is feeling the same way.  Now yes I have stories about how I've made mistakes and boring stuff that will probably bore you, but how about instead we talk about how trends have changed. One trend that seems to be making a come back is denim.  The thing I love about denim is that its a classic, casual look. Their are tons of different ways to wear denim.  My personal favorite would have to be a light washed denim romper (short overalls).  This style is very edgy and very stylish.  Denim I would say is the springs 'it' material.  And I have to say I am very excited.  And if you decide to wear denim this spring try a red plaid shirt to match.  Since denim is a neutral ( matches everything) A red shirt defiantly will add a pop of color and will leave people speechless.  From the styles of the week to classic designs, fashion has a mood and as a fashion lover I will be right their besides it.

Inspiration Comes From Everywhere

As I sat in the cab going back to the hotel I looked out the window.  The sky was black except the one thing keeping me interested was the beautiful, bright, twinkly lights.  The city was so different at night I know its crazy, but I almost feel as if the city has emotions. Let me explain, when its day time and the sun is shinning I feel like the city is wearing a sundress and is happy and just wants everyone to go outside and go window shopping. Although when it turns to the nighttime the city is wearing a black mini skirt and a shiny gold blouse and most defiantly isn't afraid to get sassy.  That's how my mind works and because it works like that I am able to come up with sketches and designs.  You can't get everything from the suburbs although it is a good place to relax and remember where you came from.  From the twinkly lights, to taxi cabs, and a million different designers.  An idea came from somewhere in the end the idea just needs to make you feel inexplicably infinite

A Casual Day!

Those days when you feel as if you can sleep forever.  When you feel like your pillows are heaven.  When you make a whole new language based off of groans and murmurers.  Don't lie you know you've had those mornings.  And don't worry so do I.  Unfortunately on those days you can't sleep forever and you do have to get up, get dressed, and start you day.  No since I have experience I have figured out stylish yet, appropriate outfits for these lazy days.

Teenagers 13-20ish in fall, winter, or beginning of spring: A pair comfy sweatshirt.  Over that a black leather jacket. A comfy pair of dark washed skinny jeans that make you feel happy.  And to top it off a pair of combat boots, Vans, or Converse.  This is a good outfit if you truly don't want to try and you almost want to blend in a little but also look biker chic.

Adult women 29-43ish ( seasons undecided): Work is a place for being professional and lazy day is no exception. A good option could be an Ashlee tweed dress, and a pair of Casey Embossed leather high healed sandals. Although if you live in a cold region their are still some other options.  Throwing on a pair of black slacks and a blouse is always a good option, but here let me go into detail.  A pair of strait leg black pants and Geo print bow blouse. Click on the links below for more options!

Don't let lazy days win.  Look fabulous and confident even on the days when getting up is a challenge.

The Olsen's Collection

Does everyone remember the 90's sitcom Full House?  If you haven't or don't remember then let me explain some of the characters Michelle for instance.  The character played by one of the most famous twins in the fashion industry have made quite a name for themselves.  They are known for their collections Elizabeth and James and The Row.  Both of these collections are very chic and sophisticated.  As for The Row the spring 2014 style is a little laid back but with a classic touch.  For more information you can find the link at the below.

Elizabeth and James this season offers a very similar style.  The only difference is a little bit more pattern. The 'it' pattern of the season is floral print.  Along with that, the color of the season is pastels and light shades. I'm ecstatic about pastels this season.  Designers lately have been able to not just make the light colors classic but also with a little edge.  What makes the color edgy is adding cut-outs to a dress or blouse.
I have to say these girls truly are the power twins.  They inspire me because I have a twin as well and I hope and dream we will be just as classy and sassy as the Olsen's.

Pretty Little Liars- Fashion Talk

Does anyone watch the show Pretty Little Liars?  Well I guess it is in my nature to talk about what they wear in the television show.  I have to say my style is a combination of Hannah and Spencer.  I think what I like about the Pretty Little Liars is that even though they all have a dead best friends they don't actually need to be friends, but they are.  As seen on the more recent episodes the girls really try their hardest to help Aria with her traumatic break up.  Along with that, I also love how their scene of style shines throughout the show. Aria has, I believe more creativity with her clothes and she takes more risks, but also adds in chunky necklaces and other accessories.  Hannah has a more polished look and she is very fashion forward.  For example she incorporates a lot of neon colors and sparkle.  Emily has a very skater style.  I would describe it almost like DKNY's spring 2014 collection.  She also seams to include more of the darker edge of style.  Last, but certainly not least, would have to be the incredibly smart Spencer.  She has the preppiest styles, and definitely the most expensive. On the show I have seen a lot of cashmere sweaters and button up shear blouses.  You can see the girls and there co-stars on there hit ABC television show Tuesdays at 8/7 central.

SJP's at Nordstrom

I have to say I am in love with this shoe collection.  Sarah Jessica Parker has been known for her iconic roll in Sex in the City as Carrie Bradshaw.  Every award show is amazing, fashionable women this dressed to the nines.  We share something in common...we both are in love Manolo's. The classic clean cut style with a punch of sparkle can make every women feel like a they're walking on the red carpet.  Anyway, getting back to Parker at Nordstrom, her shoe collection is full of swivel patterns and modern colors almost like Manolo. To compare the two, they both have a classic look that will never be out of style.

Lupita Nyong'o

Okay let's talk about her for a moment.  She has been nominated for almost every award and won pretty much all of them.  She was in the Oscar nominated  12 Years of Slave.  Not to mention she is a fashion icon.  Recently she was mentioned on the amazing TV show Fashion Police.  She was named for two weeks in a row (something that never happened before) best dressed.  I have to say everything she wears is perfection.  From the gorgeous turquoise evening gown with a floral embellishment on the neckline.  Then to the strapless red evening gown with a cape accent.  Lupita just keeps you wondering.  Now seeing what she has worn in the past I am ecstatic for the future.  Although I seriously need to know who her stylist is.
